Italian cyclist Davide Rebellin died at the age of 51 after being hit by a truck during training, after which doctors could not save his life.

Rebellin managed to reach the podium at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, but was stripped of his medal due to a doping scandal that forced him to take a break from the sport. After the suspension, he returned to his favorite sport, and during his career he achieved 61 victories.
