The king of the clay surface, Rafael Nadal, performed for the last time in front of his audience in Madrid, at his favorite tournament. 

He did his best on the field, but it was only enough for the round of 16. There he lost to the Czech tennis player Lehechka with 7-5 and 6-4.

After the match there was a spectacular send-off from the 13,000 fans who watched the match.
