F1

The leaders of Formula 1 decided from 2025 to change the scoring system so that 12 instead of 10 drivers will receive points.

This means that more than half of the drivers will be rewarded after the races, which, according to the leadership of Formula 1, will make the season more interesting. There will be no changes in the upper part – the winner will receive 25, the second 18, the third 15, the fourth 12 and the fifth 10 points. The changes are planned in the rest: the sixth will receive 8 points, the seventh 6, the eighth 5, the ninth 4, the tenth 3, 2 are planned for the 11th, and one point for the 12th.

The additional point for the fastest lap of the race remains in effect, and the same scoring remains for the sprint race where the first eight will receive points, in order from eighth to first position.

The new scoring method will not bring changes to the upper part of the general classification, but it may affect the positions towards the middle.
