Duplantis bettered his own world record of 6.23 meters, which he set last year.
It was the third time the Swedish jumper attempted to jump 6.24. After two unsuccessful attempts in the hall during the winter in Clermont and Glasgow, this time Duplantis was successful and set a new height.
The Swede breaks the world record for the eighth time in a row even though he is only 24 years old.
