The tennis player defended himself before the commission, which accepted Imer’s justification, but the federation handed the case over to the International Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne.

Two weeks after his performance in the third round at Wimbledon, Imer learned that the case had been resolved and received a one-and-a-half-year ban.
