No cash, no card and no internet: Kaufland wants to offer a new payment method from autumn. After pharmacies like Rossman and Miller and many others, this retailer will soon offer Bluecode to its customers. They want to test the process first, after the successful completion of that phase, the new feature will be available in the app from autumn.
Once customers have saved their payment information, they can simply scan the QR code at any Kaufland cash register and pay by phone. The black QR code will then turn blue.
The application may work offline temporarily. This means that users can pay through the app even when their phone is not connected to the internet. “Kaufland Pay” will be able to be used at both staffed and self-service checkouts.
