ERDOGAN WON BY ABOUT 5%, but there will still be a second round for president?

The citizens of Turkey voted today in regular presidential and parliamentary elections, choosing between three presidential candidates, 24 political parties and 151 independent candidates for the new composition of the Grand National Assembly, which has a total of 600 parliamentary seats.

64.11 million people had the right to vote in the elections, and the turnout was a high 88 percent.

After almost 90% of the votes counted in the parliamentary elections, the AK Party of Recep Tayyip Erdogan will be the winner with about 36-37% of the votes.

The current Turkish President Recep Tayyip ErdoÄŸan does not seem to win more than half of the votes in today’s presidential elections in Turkey, which is a requirement for him to win in the first round, but in the end he will be close to it, over 49%, which is not enough to win still today. His opponent, Kemal Kilicdaroglu, who is the joint candidate of the opposition, will win about 45% of the votes.

In two weeks, a second round will be held before which ErdoÄŸan recorded a victory of about 5% of the right vote, which is a serious advantage in the eyes of the public, especially since a lower turnout is expected due to the fact that in two weeks there will be no voting for parties.
