After King Charles’ favorite musicians refused to perform at the coronation concert, which will take place on May 7, it is now known who will replace them.
Katy Perry Lionel Richie and Take That will headline the coronation concert as part of the celebrations for the coronation of King Charles III, which will take place the day before, reports the BBC.
However, the King’s original wish was for Ed Sheeran and Adele to perform, but they declined.
A concert will be held at Windsor Castle, featuring international opera star Andrea Bocelli in duet with Grammy winner Bryn Terfel, as well as singer-songwriter Freya Readings with classical composer and pianist Alexis French.
The Coronation Choir, made up of community choirs and amateur singers from across the UK, will also perform. Everyone will have the opportunity to sing in front of 20,000 people, and several million people are expected to watch the coronation in front of small screens.
