Former President Donald Trump has been indicted as part of a long-running investigation by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office into possible illegal payments.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg investigated Trump for illegal cash payments made before the 2016 presidential election.

They include a $130,000 payment to adult film actress Stormy Daniels and $150,000 to former Playboy model Karen McDougal, Fox News Digital has learned.

The cash payments to McDougal and Daniels were discovered and reported by Fox News in 2018.

Federal prosecutors in the Southern District of New York dropped charges against Trump related to the payment to Stormy Daniels in 2019, even as Cohen implicated him as part of a plea deal. The Federal Election Commission also dropped its investigation into the issue in 2021.

As Donald Trump is indicted by a New York grand jury, US marshals, the Secret Service and the New York Police Department are discussing how the former president will appear at his indictment, according to a senior NYPD source.

Out of an abundance of caution, all personnel at NYPD headquarters and support units will be in uniform Friday, according to an internal memo from the department. The memorandum also states that all uniformed officers should be ready for mobilization at any time during their shift.
