According to information from the Paris media, PSG learned through an employee in the administration that the club will participate in the public bidding for the purchase of the Stade d’France, which was built for the World Cup in 1998 and hosted the Champions League final in May.

The government is asking for 647 million euros for the largest stadium, as it estimated in 2021, and the one that has already been in operation for 25 years, but allegedly the price has dropped and that it can be bought for half a billion euros. Bids for the purchase of the stadium are being collected until April 27 and will then be analyzed until the end of 2023 before a final decision is made.

The new owner would receive the stadium in 2025, i.e. after the Olympic Games in Paris, which will be held in 2024.
