Carnival is back in Rio after a two-year hiatus

The famous carnival in Rio de Janeiro will be held in full splendor this month, and it is expected to bring almost a billion dollars in earnings, which would be an all-time record.
After the pandemic and the restrictions of previous years, the streets of Brazil’s second largest city will once again be a place for wild parties, while traditional samba schools will parade through the city’s “sambadrome”.
With the worst of the pandemic now over, the annual celebration is expected to break records in the tourism and services sector and potentially recoup some of the losses from previous years.
